This RG Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode, Lighting Model ver. TWC) came home from a Japan trip: a limited lighting version that glows in a green/red pattern from batteries hidden in the display base. The runners make it obvious the kit shares molds with other Unicorn releases (a pile of unused spare parts came along for the ride). The white armor is GX1 Cool White with every panel edge airbrushed in black for the shaded, high-contrast finish; the v-fin is Super Rich Gold, the thrusters split Metal Ice Silver outside and anime yellow inside, and the markings are aftermarket waterslide decals.
Two firsts on this build: photo-etch parts (dressing the GX Blue Gold joints), and masked paint separation on single parts; every earlier build got its color breaks from the kit's own part separation. And rather than leave the stock base flat black, it was finished with spring-green static grass laid down with an applicator; the contrast experiment stuck. A panel-line wash between the gloss and flat Super Clear III coats closes it out. The before/after above shows the stock kit next to the hangar finish, and the zone-by-zone paint recipe is below.
